Davos, Lage & Anreise

With an altitude of 1560 meters above sea-level, Davos is situated as the highest town in all of Europe. What was once a dreamy alpine-settlement for the Walser folk became soon an emerging high-altitude health-resort. Today, Davos has emerged as a sophisticated holiday- and congress-resort, featuring the very best that summer- and winter-sport activities have to offer. Travel to Davos

Only a short two hours away from Zurich, or four hours from Munich or Milan, Davos can easily and comfortably be reached by car or train. The nearest international airport is Zurich International Airport from which you can reach Davos in a short 2-1/2 hour train ride.

Basle – Zurich – N3 direction towards Chur – Exit Landquart – Davos
Munich – Bregenz (A14 or E43) - N3 direction towards Chur – Exit Landquart – Davos

Once in Davos, follow the main street (Promenade), turn right onto the Scalettastrasse (immediately after the bus-stop “Schiabach” and construction-site), follow Scalettastrasse to the end and then follow the small road (Buolstrasse) to the top of the hill. You have arrived at the Waldhotel Davos.

Be aware of rugged winter conditions! We highly recommend outfitting your vehicle with excellent winter equipment as well as snow-chains. Free parking for hotel-guests is available in front of the hotel.

The nearest international airport is Zurich International Airport from which you can reach Davos in a short 2-1/2 hour train ride.

Arrival by train

Zurich Central Train Station to Landquart. Change train towards Davos Platz (with the “Rhaetian Railways"). Guests arriving by train at the Davos Platz rail station will be picked-up by the hotel bus free of charge (bus operates between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM and advanced notice is required).
